The Strongholds of the Grey Forest
The Grey Forest spans a rather large portion of the Western mainland. What was originally a speckling of Orcish Villages and strongholds packed amongst the densely wooded area (dubbed Tae'Ruun by their respective leaders) has fallen to ruin entirely. Three Tattered banners have been risen near each of the villages and above every castle and fortification by the new occupants.
Trade from the region has ceased entirely and trade carts that enter the area usually don't resurface. 'Survivors' of their travels through this land tell a dark tale. Gruesome actions taken by monstrous beings, Ghastly beasts that look forever in pain, Skeletons risen and undead Oruk still holding bloodied swords.
The undead seem to be organizing in the various Castles and Forts across that stretch of woods, rebuilding crumbled walls and Scavenging or smithing weaponry. The forests of Tae'Ruun are soon to be a staging ground for a Kingdom of the Damned.
