The Greater Empire of Shirato, commonly referred to as the Empire of First Man or simply Shirato, is a single-party military state composed of 19 provinces.
Shirato uses a different calendar from the rest of the region based on the lunar cycle.
During the first year of the Age of Enlightenment, with the introduction of gunpowder, the Shogunate begun to rapidly militarize the state, discouraging mercenary work and enforcing conscription. The Empire had also began rapid industrialization. in less than a year several cities, including Miyoko were drowned in smog. To feed the growing war machine the empire expanded its borders north unto no man's land to locate and exploit mineral resources.
